MADIIAVI DEVI WRIT PETITION NO.14803 0F 202s ORDER In this Writ Petition, the petitioner is seeking a direction to the 3'd respondent to include the Paddy Procurement Centre within the area of operation of the petitioner society for procuring paddy for Yasangi (Rabi 2024-25) marketing season as per the recommendations of the 4th respondent dt.l}.O3.2025 and26.03.2025 to the 3'd respondent.

2. It is submitted that without giving any reasons, the 3'd respondent has limited the number of Paddy Procurement Centres to 41 from 194 centres suggested or proposed by the 4th respondent. Leamed counsel for the petitioner submitted that paddy procurement is now in progress and the petitioner society would suffer irreparable loss if its request for paddy procurement centres is not considered. It is stated that the { petitioner was being given paddy procurement centres for the last 11 years and it is for the first time that its centres have been excluded from the list ofpaddy procurement centres.

4. respondent to consider the Paddy Procyrement Centres in the area of operation of the petitioner society also as per the recommendations of the 4'h responoent and if there existed prior to finalisation of the paddy Procurement ( entres vide proceedings dt.08.04.2025 any reasons for not considering thc Paddy Procurement Centres of the petitioner society, such reasons shall be communicated to the petitioner rvithin a period of ten days from the date of receipt of a copy of this order in order to enablc the petitioner to take appropriate remedial steps.

5. The Wrir Petition is accordingly disposed of. No order as to costs
