2. Heard Mr. G. Vidya Sagar, learned Senior Counsel, appearing for Mr. Sai Prasen Gundavaram, learned counsel for the petitioners, and the learned Government Pleader for Services (Home), appearing for the respondents. Perused the material on record.

3. The petitioners are serving as Inspectors of Police (Civil) from the erstwhile Hyderabad Range, now designated as Multi Zone-ll, and were directly recruited as Sub-Inspectors in 2002-2003. They were promoted to the rank of Inspector in the panel year 2010-11, as per Chief Office Memo Rc.No.L622/El/2010, dated 30.12.2010. After the formation of the State of Telanga.na, G.O.Ms.No.153, Home (Ser-I) Department, dated

05.10.2018, was issued publishing the Integrated State-Wide Seniority List of Inspectors of Police (Civil). The petitioners, seeking rectification of anomalies in their seniority list, made several represe ntation s, including on 21.11.2024, to respondent Nos.l and 2, seeking similar action as taken for their counterparts in the erstwhile Warangal Range (Multi Zone- I). Despite a report by the Director General of Police (DGP) on L6.09.2022 and further proceedings incl udin g Memo No. 326 (P) / Ser -I/ Al / 2022, dated --r z

09.tL.2024, and Memo No.10546/Ser-l/Al/2024, dated 24.02.2025, no action was taken to rectify the anomalies concerning the Hyderabad Range. The petitioners made a joint representation on 26.04.2025 to respondent No.2, seeking immediate rectification of these anomalies and their inclusion in the seniority list for promotion to the post of Deputy Superintendent of Police (Dy.S.P). Aggrieved by the inaction of the respondents, the petitioners have filed the present Writ Petition.

Learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners submits that appropriate orders be passed in this Writ Petition, directing the respondents to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners on 26.04.2025 by taking into consideration the letter dated 16.09.2022 addressed by the Director General of Police, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with the law.

5. Learned Government Pleader for Services (Home), appearing for the respondents, did not dispute the submissions made by the learned Senior Counsel appearing for the petitioners.

6. Taking into consideration the submissions made by the learned counsel for the respective parties, without going into the merits of the case, this Writ Petition is disposed of directing the respondent authorities to consider the representation submitted by the petitioners on 26.04.2025 by taking into consideration the letter dated 16.09.2022 addressed by the Director General of Police, and pass appropriate orders in accordance with i ( J law, as expeditiously as possible, preferably within a period of four (4) weeks from the date of receipt or a copy of this order. There shall be no order as to costs. As a sequel, miscellaneous applications pending, if any, in this Writ Petition, shall stand closed. //TRUE COPY// SD/.K.
