Subsequenfly, the said convic was repatriated to lndia for the execution of his sentence. petitioner I o. '1 has sought premature release of his son on the ground of rerr ssion, which is permissible under the provisions of the Repatriation r 2003, and the rules framed thereunder. However f Prisoners Act, an appropriate decision in this regard is required to be taken ,ly the Central Government through respondent No. 2.

By referring to the communication dated 1 1.1- .,tO2O issued by the Ministry of Home Affairs (respondent No. 2) t r the principal Secretary, Home Department (Services_lll), (j )veilerqpnt of J Telangana, learned counsel submits that no further action has been taken and no final decision has been communicated to date Hence' he prays for the issuance of appropriate directions to the respondents to consider and dispose of the petitioners' representations in accordance with law. Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Home submits that 4 it is an admitted fact that the petitioners' son has been repatriated' andthatthequestionofremissionisunderconsiderationbythe Government of lndia. He further submits that the representation submitted by the petitioners has already been forwarded to the Governmentoflndiaandthatanappropriatedecisionistobetaken by the competent authority. Accordingly' he prays for the issuance of appropriate orders bY this Court.

Learned Standing Counsel for respondent No 2' though appeared earlier and sought time to obtain instructions as to the status of the communication dated 11 11'2020 in relation to the petitioners' representations dated 29'08'2019 and 28'07 2020' failed to place anY related materials. I have perused the material placed on record'

Having regard to the submissions advanced rl rd upon perusal of the communication referred to by the petitione.; it appears that their representations are under consideration by th: Government of lndia. However. as no final decision has yet reen taken or communicated to the petitioners, this court is of the :onsidered view that it would be appropriate to direct the concern: J authorities to expedite the process. Accordingly, respondent No. I is directed to consider the petitioners' representations and pass al) rropriate orders in accordance with law, preferably within a peric< of three (03) months from the date of receipt of a copy of this order
