Counsel for the Petitaoner: SRI K.PRABHAKAR Counsel for the Respondent Nos.1,3 TO 7: GP FOR PANCHA.YAT RAJ & RURAL DEV Counsel for the Respondent Nos.2 & 8: GP FOR FINANCE The Court made the following: ORDER THE HONOT]RABLE SMT JUSTICE T.MADHAVI DEVI WRIT PETITION NO. 8949 OF 2025 ORDER: This Writ Petition is filed seeking a Writ of Mandamus declaring the action of the respondents in not making payments of the bills to the petitioner pursuant to the agreement bearing No. 12023-24 dated 06.10.2023, AS illegal and arbitrary and consequently to direct the respondents to release the amounts to the petitioner and to pass such other order or orders.

2. Learned Government Pleader for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development has forwarded the written instructions dated

26.03.2025, according to which four bills for a total amount of Rs. 1,30,50,377l- (Rupees One Crore Thirty Lakhs Fifty Thousand Three Hundred Seventy Seven only) have already been processed, but the payment could not be made for want of release of funds by the Govemment i.e., respondent No.7 hererin.

3. In view ofthe above submission, respondent Nos.3 and 7 are directed to make payments of the bills to the petitioner within a period of four (04) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of the t t 2 order and il there is any delay thereafter, then the same shall be paid with rnterest at the rate of l2o/o p.a. and not later than

31.05.2025. It is made clear that if the payment :is not made by then also, compound interest shall be levied on the rcspondents.

4. With rhe above directions, this Writ Petition is disposed of. There shall be no order as to costs.
