This Petition coming on for hearing, upon perusing the Memorandum of Grounds of Criminal Petition and upon hearing the arguments of Ms. K. Visishta, Advocate for the Petitioners and the Mr. Jithender Rao Veeramalla, Additional Public Prosecutor on behalf of the Respondent No.1 and of Mr. K. Sai Sri Harsha, Advocate for the Respondent No.2. 2. The petitioners are arrayed as accused Nos.1 to 4 in the Calendar Case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 498-4, 406, 506 of lndian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act. 1961

3. Heard lVls. K.Visishta, learned counsel for the petitioners, Mr.Jithender Rao Veeramalla, learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent No.1-State and Mr.K.Sai Sri Harsha, learned counsel for the respondent No.2ide-faclo complainant.

Pending this petition, the parties have entered into the compromise and, accordingly, they moved l.A.Nos.2 and 3 ot 2025 with the prayejg permit them to enter into compromise and by recording the settlement to 2 .\nu l-.1.-\0.t.2 ad ) of20)t in/rttd (.ri.l).\o.t|it oJ 2a2) quash the proceedings against the petitioners/accused Nos..r to4in C.C.No.20B5 of 2024.

5. This Court vide order dated 03.04.2025.referred the parties to the High court Legar services committee for identification and to verify the voluntariness in arriving the setrement. The secretary, High court Legar services committee, has submitted report dated 16.o4.2025stating that the parties were identified by their respective counser and arso on verification of Aadhar cards/rdentity cards and the enquiries reveared that the parties have willfully and without coercion entdred into settlement/compromise. 6 I have considered the submissions of the learned counsel and perused the materials on record. 7 ' Having considered the aregations, the charged offences, which are essentia'y matrimoniar and inter-personar in nature and taking into account the amicabre setrement between the parties and to restore peace among them, in the right of the dictums in Gian singh v. Sfafe of Punjab and anothe/ and Anit Mishra v. State of u.p.2; State of Madhya Pradesh v. Laxmi Narayan and others3, this Court is of the considered view that quashment of the impugned proceedings in view of r 2U2 (o) scc 303 ' 2024 INSC 189 r 2019 (5) scc 688 i r1 3 N"r&/ I.;l.Nc'r.2 ad ) of 202i ir/ard Cr/.P.No.1071 of 2025 the settlement by exercising jurisdiction under section 4g2 cr.p.c.l52B of BNSS, 2023, would be in the interest of justice.

8. Accordingly, l.A.Nos.2 and 3 of 2025 are allowed. Consequenfly, all proceedings in c.c.No.2085 of 2024, on the fire of the rearned vr Additional Metropolitan [\4agistrate, tr/edchal-Malkajgiri District, at L.B.Nagar, are hereby quashed against the petitioners/accused Nos. 1to4. 9 ln the above terms, the Criminal petition is disposed of.
