Ch.Krishna v. The Station House Officer, Chandanagar Police Station, Chandanagar, Ranga Reddy District & Ors.

O R D E R (Per Sri Justice M.Venkateswara Reddy) This writ petition emanates from a complaint given by Mr.Ch.Krishna to the Chief Justice of A.P. alleging that he lodged a complaint before the Station House Officer, Chandanagar, Ranga Reddy District against Y.Venkateswara Rao and others, Directors of M/s.Eenadu Co-op Urban Bank Limited stating that they have abused him in the name of his caste and a case in Crime No.80 of 2005 was also registered in Chandanagar Police Station and that in spite of repeated requests made by him, the Police are not disclosing the status of the case and that he is not getting any proper response from the investigating officer. It is further alleged that he was detained for hours together at the Station and that the accused in the case has influenced the police officials who are trying to close the case. The 1st respondent-Inspector of Police, Chandanagar Police Station filed an affidavit before this Court which discloses that the investigation is in progress and by the date of his swearing of the affidavit on 16.08.2005, three persons were examined besides the complainant and their detailed statements were recorded under Section 161 Cr.P.C. The affidavit further discloses that none of them supported the version of the petitioner. The complainant was also given an opportunity to produce the witnesses on his behalf to substantiate his case, but he did not produce the witnesses so far and the investigation is still in progress. Since the investigation is in progress and the law will take its own course, we do not think it necessary to pass any order to take further steps in the matter.
