VTNOD KUMAR WRIT PETITION No.7292 of 2025 ORDER: Heard leamed counsel for petitioners, learned Govemment Pleader for Home appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.1 to 3 and leamed counsel appearing on behalf of unofficial respondents and perused the record. With the consent of the counsel appearing for the respective parties, the Writ petition is taken up lor hearing and disposal at admission stage.

The case of the petitioners in brief is that the respondent authorities are involving themserves in disputes under the Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881 (for short.the Act,) without any authority of law and seeks a direction to respondent authorities not to interfere in disputes under the Act and not to harass the petitioners and their family members by calling them to police Station at the behest of respondent Nos.4 to 6.
3. Per contra, leamed Govemment pleader for Home appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.r to 3 submits that the 5rh respondent in the present Writ petition has lodged a complaint with the 'r rd _) respondentpn 1 4-02 -2025. \Fl! .,

Learned (iovemment pleader would furthe,r submit that on the aforesaid complainr being lodged by the 5th respondent herein, the authorities have rrade a General Diary Entry and for causing preliminary :ncluiry into the contents of the complaint, the authorities have called the pctitioners to police Station. 5 Learnr.d (iovemment would further submit that the respondent authorities : fter causing preliminary enquiry into the aforesaid complaint b.' calring the petitioners to police iitation, closed the aforesaid conrplaint lodged by the 5th respondent as .civil dispute.on I l-03-202-s.
6. Learnerl (lovernrnent pleader would further submit that the 5'h respondenridclircto-complainant has also been issued intimation of the action takr.n.
7. Leameri Goverrnrent pleader would further submit that except for the purpose o1- causing preliminary enquiry into the complaint lodged by the 5'h rcspondent herein, the respondent ,ruthorities are not involving thernselves in the disputes between the petitioner and 5th respondent.
8. The aforesaid submission made by the learned Govemment Pleader appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.l to 3 is taken on record

Having regard to the submissions made as above, and since, the respondent authorities claim to have called the petitioners to Police Station only for the purpose of preliminary enquiry into the complaint todged by the 5th respond ent on 14-02-2025 and having closed the said complaint on ll-03-2025 as being'civil dispute', this Courl is of the view that.the respondent authorities are to be directed not interfere with the life and personal liberty of the petitioners except in accordance with law.
