2. The petitioner is the sole accused in the Sessions Case registered for the offences punishable under Sections 376(2)(n), 417, 493, 342 and 506 of lndian Penal Code, 1860 I l Il

3. Heard Mr.Abdul Wahid Basha, learned counsel for the petitioner, Mr.Jithender Rao Veeramalla, learned Additional Public Prosecutor representing the respondent No.1-State and t\4r.N4ogili Anaveni, learned counsel for the respondent No.2/de-faclo complainant

Pending this petition, the parties have entered into the compromise and, accordingly, they moved l.A.Nos.2 and 3 of 202.5 with the prayer to permit them to enter into compromise and by recording the settlement to quash the proceedings against the petitioner/accused in S.C.No.303 of .2022 2 .\lR/ I-A.Nat.2 ard ) oJ'202 i it/ and Lrl.P.No.2876 of 2025 .- -lstH\:*j.'-. .;: \, \

5. This court vide order dated 03.03.2025 referred the parties to the High Court Legal Services Committee for identification and to verify the voluntariness in arriving the settlement. The Secretary, High court Legal services committee, has submitted report dated 12.03.2025 stating that the parties were identified by their respective counsel and also on verification of Aadhar cards/ldentity cards and the enquiries revealed that the parties have willfully and without coercion entered into settlemenUcomPromi se.

6. I have considered the submissions of the learned counsel and perused the materials on record. T.Theaccusationsagainstthepetitioner/accusedinthePoliceReport arethatthepetitioner/accusedhaddevelopedacquaintancewiththe respondent No.2tde-facto complainant and on 26 09'2018 by inducing her that he is unmarried and would marry her, sexually exploited and cohabitated with her for a period of five months and thereafter, when she questioned about marriage, he started threatening her with dire consequences. Having considered the allegations' the charged offences and the amicable settlement between the parties and to restore peace among them, in the light of the dictums in Gian Singh v' State of Puniab and anotherl and Anil Mishra v. Laxmi Narayan and others3, this court is of the considered view that quashment of the impugned proceedings in view of the settlement by exercising jurisdiction under section 482 cr.p.c.t52g of BNSS, 2023, would be in the interest of justice.

8. Accordingly, l.A.Nos.2 and 3 of 2025 are allowed. Consequenfly, all proceedings in S.c.No.303 of 2022, on the fire of the Xilr Additionar District Judge, Ranga Reddy District, at L.B.Nagar, are hereby quashed against the petitioner/accused. 9 ln the above terms, the Criminal petition is disposed of.
