GP FOR HOME The Court made the l:ollowing: ORDER THE HONOURABLE SRI JUSTICE N.TUKARAMJI WRIT PETITION No. 14650 0F 20,t6 ORDE R: This writ petition is fired under Arlicre 226 0f the constitution of lndia seeking the following relief: "...to issue a writ or order more pafticutarty one in the nature of writ of mandamus declaring the action of the respondents 5 to 7 in interfeing with the day to day busrness of the petitioner and the petitioner family members without there being any cause or concern and threatening the petitioner and the petitioner family members and calling to the police station and interfering with the petitioner and the petitioner famity members libefty and not initiating any action upon the petilioner application dated 17-4-201 6 as iilegal, arbitrary, unjust and also against the Articles 1 4, 16 and 21 of Constitution of lndia and consequential directions to the respondents s to 7 and their staff not to inter-fere with the day to day busrness of the petitioner and the petitioner family members without there being any cause or concern and threatening the petitioner and the petitioner famity members and calling to the police station and interfering with the petitioner and the petitioner famity members libefty and lo pass such other order or orders. . ." 2 None appeared on behalf of the petitioner

Laxmikanth Reddy, learned Assistant Government pleader for Home, appearing for the respondents, submits that except for rhe. steps undertaken during the course of investigation in the registered crime, the respondents/porice authorities have not interfered with the . 2 - business ac;tivities of the petitioner, as alleged in the writ petition. He further subnrits that this Court, upon consideration of the submissions, by interim order dated 27.04.2016, directed the respondentsipolice authorities to strictly adhere to the due process of law while conducting investigatiorr. Having regard to the progress of the investigation and in view of the fact that the petitioner has not actively pursued the matter thereafter, it is submitted that the grievance of the petitioner has been effectively redressed by virtue of the said interim order. Accordingly, the learned Go'rernment Pleader prays for appropriate directions.

Having considered the submissions advanced by the learned Assistant Ciovernment Pleader for Home, and taking note of the interim order datecl 27.04.2016, this Court is of the opinion that the grievance of the petitioner stands substantially redressed. lt is, therefore, just and proper to make the said interim direction absolute. Accordingly, the respondents/Police authorities are directed not to interfere with the life and liberty of the petitioner and to strictly follow the due process of law while conducting investigation into the crime.
