Thakur Roopa Singh, learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner, learned Assistant Government Pteader for Energy, appearing on behalf of respondent No.1, Sri N. Sreedhar Reddy, learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of respondent Nos.2 to 7 and Sri G. Madhusudhan Reddy, learned Standing Counsel for Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation appearing on behalf of resPondent No.8.

The petitioner approached the Court seeking prayer as under: "...to issue writ, order or direction more particularly one in the nature of WRIT OF MANDAMUS directing the respondents 2 to 7 to provide electricity connectibn sNos Non-Domestic load of each 30KW, and 1No' Non- Domestic load of each sKW, thus making total load of 160KW Connection to the Residential Building, in Plot No. 14, H. No. 189/A/14, in Survey Nos. 31 to 36, total admeasuring 680 Sq Yards situated at Madhapur (V), Serilingampally (M) under GHMC, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana State, bounded by North: House No' 1- BglA/g on Plot No.9; South: 40' Wide Road; East: 40' 2 wP 5105 2025 Wide Rcrad; West: Plot No 13. Without insistinq upon occupancy certificate from the Bth responclent by holding that the refusal to provide electricity connection to the above referred premises is illegal and arbitrary and pass...".

3. It is the specific case of the petitioner that, the petitioner applied for release of electricity Supply for 5 Nos. Non-Domestic load of each 30KW and 1 No. Non-Domestic load of each 5 KW, thus making total load of 160 KW to the Resiclential Building in Plot No.14, H.No.1-89/A/14, in Survey Nos.31 to 36, total admeasuring 680 Sq. Yards, situated at Madhapur Village, Serilingampally (M), under GHMC, Ranga Reddy District, Telangana Sterte and in response to the said application, the 3d respondent addressed a letter dated 24.12.2024 to the petitioner to pay charges of Rs.6,60,253/- and accordingly petitioner paid the said amount but the respondents denied to provide electricity. connection stating that the petitioner must prcduce occupancy certificate frorn the Bth respondent. Aggrieved by the said action of the respondents, the present writ petition is filed.

Learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner submits that the writ petition could be disposed of directing the 3 wP 5105 2025 respondents 2 to 7 to consider petitioner's application and pass appropriate orders as per rules in force. ,.5. Learned Standing Counsel appearing on behalf of the respondents 2 to 7 does not dispute the said submission made by the learned counsel appearing on behalf of the petitioner.

Taking into consideration the facts and circumstances of the case and the submissions made by both the learned counsel on record, the writ petition is disposed of directing the respondent Nos. 2 to 7 to I I consider and pass appropriate orders as per rules in force and in accordance to law, on petitioner's application dated 2L.O2.2O23 seeking electricity connection for release of electricity supply for 5 Nos. Non-Domestic load of each 3OKW and 1 No. Non-Domestic load of each 5 KW, thus making total load of 160 KW to the subject Residential Building in Plot No.l4, H.No.1-89lA/14,in Survey Nos.31 to 36, total admeasuring 680 Sq. Yards, situated at Madhapur Village, Serilingampally (M), under GHMC' Ranga Reddy District, Telangana State, within a period of one (O1) week from the date of receipt of a copy of this order duly considering the permission vide Permit I I l \ To, 4 wP 5105 2025 c BP, dated 22.05.2023 issued No. 1496lGH Mc / SLP / 2023- by Zonal Commissioner, Serilingampally Zone, GHMC, Hyderabad in favour of the petitioner.
