… Respondents In this writ petition, the petitioner seeks directions by way of Mandamus directing respondents 1 to 4 herein to release his cows numbering 22 in his favour, which were detained in connection with Crime No.336 of 2010 on the file of P.S., Medchal, Ranga Reddy District.

Pursuant to a complaint lodged by one Sri K. Murali Krishna Chari, Member of Kesava Goseva Samithi on 16- 11-2010 stating that one Mr. Shaik Rouf and others were transporting 116 cows in six vehicles to a slaughtering house, the vehicles carrying cows were intercepted and a case in Cr.No.336 of 2010 was registered for the offences under Sections 5, 6 read with Sections 10 and 12 of the A.P. Prohibition of Cow Slaughter and Animal Preservation Act, 1977 and Section 12 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 1960 and the cows were shifted to Kesava Goseva Samithi, ECIL, Hyderabad. Though the petitioner is seeking release of the cows; on obtaining written instructions, it is submitted by the learned Government Pleader for Home appearing on behalf of the respondents that the cows and the vehicles which were carrying them were deposited under Form-60 before the Court of XV Metropolitan Magistrate, Medchal, Ranga Reddy District and the said Court ordered for release of the vehicles. It is stated that the complainant himself kept 114 cows in the safe custody of Kesava Goseva Samithi, ECIL, Hyderabad. As much as all the cows are deposited under Form- 60 before the Court of XV Metropolitan Magistrate, Medchal, Ranga Reddy District, it is for the petitioner to move the said Court seeking release of the cows and no directions as sought can be issued in this writ petition. The writ petition is therefore dismissed reserving liberty to the petitioner to move the Court concerned seeking appropriate relief. No order as to costs. ___________________ (R.
