JUSTICE TIRUMALA DEVI EADA l.A.Nos.6 andT ol 2025 in/and CRIMINAL PETITION No.289 of 2025 COMMON OR DER This Criminal Petition is filed by the petitioners/accused Nos.1 to 4 under Section 528 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita, 2023 (for short 'BNSS') seeking to quash the proceedings against them in C.C.No.6532 of 2022 on the file of the lll Additional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Warangal District at Warangal, registered for the alleged offence punishable under Section 498-4 of the lndian Penal Code, 1860 and Sections 3 and 4 of the Dowry Prohibition Act, 1961 .

2. lt is submitted by learned counsel appearing for the petitioners/accused Nos.1 to 4 as well as respondent No.2 that during pendency of the present Criminal Petition, the parties have compromised the matter and accordingly, l.A.Nos.6 and 7 of 2025 have been flled to record compromise between them and to compound the offences.

3. The learned Additional Public Prosecutor has opposed the said compromise petitions. _._. 2 - ETD J Crlp -289-20)5

4. Perused the affidavits filed by lhe de facto complainant in l.A.Nos.6 and 7 of 2025 which disclose that she has willingly consented for compromise. Since the parties were willing to enter into compromise, they were given a chance to settle the matter by appearing along with their respective counsel before the High Court Legal Services Committee for the State of Telangana vtde orders dated 30.10.2025 passed by this Court. The Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee shall identify the parties and submit a report to that effect

Pursuant to the above said direction issued by this Court, the parties along with their respective counsel have appeared before the High Court Legal Services Committee for the State of Telangana and the Secretary of the above said Authority identified the parties and submitted a report dated 07.11.2025 stating that the parties were identified and they have willfully and without any coercion entered into compromise as per the terms of compromise.

6. ln view of the above, l.A.Nos.6 and 7 of 2025 are allowed. Consequently, the Criminal Petition is allowed and the proceedings in C.C.No.6532 of 2022 on the file of lll^Aditional Judicial Magistrate of First Class, Warangal District at Warangal, registered against the petitioners/accused Nos.1 to 4 are ., ETL', J Crlp 289 2t)25 hereby quashed subject to the petitioners/accused Nos.1 to 4 are paying an amount of Rs.5,0001 (Rupees Five Thousand Only) to the Secretary, High Court Legal Services Committee, High Court for the State of Telangana, Hyderabad and Rs.5,0001 (Rupees Five Thousand Only) to the Telangana High Court Advocates Association, Hyderabad, within a period of two (02) weeks from today and file proof of the same before the Registry.

It is submitted that the petitioner herein hled the above quash petition seeking to quash the proceedings in CC.No.6532 of 2022 Dated 02.11.2022 on the irle of III Addl Judicial Magistrate of First class, Warangal District at Warangal. The Respondent No.2 has lodged the above case against the petitioners/Accused No.1 to 4 U/Sec. 498-4 of Indian Penal Code 1860 and Section 3 & 4 of Dowrlr Prohibition Act, 196 1. wherein the petitioners were figured as Accused.

2. It is humbly submitted that the de facto complainant and petitioners have entered into a Memorandum of Understanding on OI.lO.2025 deciding upon the future with the intervention of elciers. We in order to ameliorate the diflerences have decided to compromise and settie the matter once lor all. We have settled the disputes amicably and the Petitioners/Accused No.1 to 4 and the Respondent No.2 have agreed to settle the present dispute in CC.No.6532 of 2022 Dated 02.11.2022 on the file of III Addt Judicial Magistrate of First class, Warangal District at I I I I * Warangal, before this Hon'ble Court. As such we have filed a petition seeking this Hon'ble Court to record the compromise. The contents mentioned in the said compromise petition are true and correct to the best of our knowledge and belief.
