A status report has been filed by Sri Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Superintendent of Po lice, Sivsagar. In terms of the status report, it appears that a charge sheet was filed against Bubu Konwar, s/o Sri Lolit Konwar, Konwar Singh Tanti, s/o Late Nobin Tanti, Sye d Ismile Hussain, S/o Syed Gazul Ali and Sanjib Baruah, s/o Late Hori Baruah. Th e charge sheet was filed on 10.8.2010 vide Halwating PS C.S. No.22/2010. It is now stated that a supplementary charge sheet has been filed against Janard an Hazarika @ Phantom, s/o Late Rajen Hazarika, Pranab Konwar @ Baba, s/o Late A run Konwar and Ananta Khanikar, s/o Rajen Khanikar. This supplementary charge sh eet was filed on 31.1.2011 vide Halwating PS C.S. No.03/2011. The charge sheets have been filed in connection with Halwating PS Case No. 26/20 08 under Section 302/34 IPC R/W Section 25(1) (a) / 27 of the Arms Act. Since the charge sheets have been filed and the matter is in seizin of the Trial Court, nothing further survives in this matter. We expect the prosecution to diligently pursue the case. We also expect the Tria l Judge not to grant unnecessary adjournments and to remain in control of the ca se. With the above observations and directions, this petition is disposed of. A copy of this order be handed over to learned counsel for the parties.
