Heard Mr. S. Islam, learned counsel for the petitioner and Mr. B B Gogoi, learned Addl. PP, Assam. Perused the FIR and other documents. The informant’s case is that the accused attempted to kidnap his 18 year old daughter. The petitioner’s case is that both the accused and the vi ctim girl are student of the same school as well as they are neibhours. It is t he further case of the petitioner that the petitioner had affair with the victim girl and as such a case of attempted kidnapping has been lodged. Besides this, the petitioner is suffering from psychiatric probl em and is under medication. The documents of medical treatment have been annexed with this bail application. Accordingly, bail prayer of the accused petitioner is accepted. The I.O. is directed to release the petitioner on bail, in the event of his arr est, in connection with the aforesaid PS case on furnishing bail bond of ‘ 15,00 0/- with one local surety of the like amount to his satisfaction. The petitioner is directed to appear before the I.O. within ten days from to-day and shall co-operate in the investigation. With the aforesaid directions, this bail application stands disp osed of.
