Judgment
The petitioner No.1 is the Baghmara LP School and its Headmaster is the second p etitioner. The school was established on 1.1.1990 and the petitioners seek direc tion for allotment of DISE Code, to enable them to receive benefits due to eligi ble venture schools in the State. Mr. G. Goswami, the learned standing counsel for the Assam Sarba Siksha 2. Abhijan Mission (in short SSA), Mr. B Choudhury, the standing counsel for the Ed ucation Department and Mr. R Sinha, the standing counsel BTC, however, submit th at the DISE code is nothing but a numerical representation to confirm the identi ty of a functioning school and the DISE code itself is not enough for any school , to be considered for either provincialization or other Govt. benefits. However , the respondents are agreeable to consider the grievances of the petitioner sch ool, by the Grievance Redressal Committee, in terms of the Notification dated 30 .1.2013. Mr. A M Khan, the learned counsel appearing for the petitioners is also agreeable for a speaking order by the Grievance Redressal Committee.
#3. In view of the above consensus, the competent authority of the responden ts are directed to pass a speaking order on the petitioners’ representation. The petitioners shall furnish a copy of this order, the Writ Petition records and t heir representation within 2 weeks. The consideration on merit be then made expe ditiously and preferably within 2 months, from the date of receipt of communicat ion from the petitioners. 4. With the aforesaid direction, the case is disposed of.
