Heard Mr. N. Haque, learned counsel appearing for the petitioner as well as Mrs. A. Begum, learned Addl. Public Prosecutor, Assam. Perused the case diary. The FIR was filed alleging torture, intimidation and demand of dowry against the petitioner. I have perused the case diary. Learned Counsel for the petitioner submits that the talk of compromise is in pro gress and further submitted that the petitioner is eager to bring back the first informant to the matrimonial home. The incriminating materials are not sufficient to warrant custodial interrogatio n. Considering the gravity of the offence alleged and further considering the pr ogress of the investigation, it is provided that in the event of arrest of the p etitioner, Moinul Hoque in connection with the case aforementioned, he shall be released on bail of Rs.15,000/- with one surety of the like amount to the satisf action of the arresting authority, on conditions that he shall cooperate with th e investigation of the case and shall make himself available before the I/O of t he case for interrogation as and when required. The bail application is disposed of in terms of the above directions.
