Heard Mr. N. Gautam, learned counsel for the petitioners. Also heard Mr. S. K. Deori, learned counsel for the respondent Nos. 1 and 2 and Mr. R. Dhar, learned Standing Counsel for the WPT & BC representing the respondent No. 7.
The present writ petition is filed again two public notices dated
10.06.2022 and 18.11.2022 issued by the President and Secretary of the Tengapani Deuri Bolibaba Than Parichalana Samity in the district of Savasagar, Assam.
By the said notices, the petitioners who got married under Special Marriage Act, 1954, was ex-communicated from the Deuri Society.
A joint submission has been made by the parties that they have amicably settled the issue and the aforesaid notices have already been cancelled. Accordingly, a prayer is made to close this writ petition on amicable settlement.
Accordingly, this writ petition stands closed on amicable settlement having no surviving cause of action to be decided.
