These writ petitions have been filed by the Petitioners under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for directions to the Respondents to grant admissions to the children in the schools allocated to them in the Economically Weaker Section Quota. 2. Admissions were denied vide speaking orders issued by Directorate of Education (DoE), GNCTD, against which appeals were filed before District Admission Monitoring Committee (‘DAMC’) and when the writ petitions were filed, the appeals were admittedly pending. One of the grounds in the writ petitions was that the appeals were not decided on time and/or that there was no communication to the Petitioners on the outcome of their appeals. During the pendency of these writ petitions, appeals were decided and rejected by DAMC and pursuant to order of the Court dated 30.10.2025, copies of the decisions in the respective writ petitions were filed by DoE, GNCTD. 3. Learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that there are legal infirmities in the decisions of DAMC and it would be necessary to challenge the decisions. In light of this, on instructions, learned counsel seeks to withdraw these writ petitions with liberty to file fresh petitions laying a challenge to the speaking orders as also the decisions in appeals by DAMC. 4. Accordingly, these writ petitions are disposed of as withdrawn with liberty to the Petitioners to file fresh writ petitions on the same cause of action including a challenge to the appellate orders, in accordance with law. This is a digitally signed order. The authenticity of the order can be re-verified from Delhi High Court Order Portal by scanning the QR code shown above. It is made clear that this Court has not expressed any opinion on the merits of the cases and all rights and contentions of the respective parties are left open. JYOTI SINGH, J NOVEMBER 11, 2025 RW
