04.02.2025 the petitioners have taken part in the MOP-UP round. However, learned counsel submits that despite the petitioners being the higher rank holders in the PG exam they have not been allotted any college.

2. Learned counsel for ICAR submits that pursuant to the MOP-UP round out of 33 candidates 25 candidates have already been allocated seats. Learned counsel further submits that the petitioners could not be allotted any seats as 25 students have been allocated seats in colleges in terms of the seniority, eligibility and the available seats and other rules. 3. It is pertinent to mention here that the present writ petitions have been filed with the following prayers: “W.P.(C) 773/2025 a) Issue a writ of mandamus or any other appropriate writ, order, or direction, directing the Respondents to extend the cut-off date for submission of Provisional Degree from Maharashtra for candidates Certificates (PDC) Animal and Fishery Science University (MAFSU) till the time aforesaid University Issues Provisional Degree Certificates(PDC) to its students and allow the Petitioner to participate in the second round of allotment to be conducted by the Respondents on 21.01.2025; and /or b) Direct the Respondents to accept Provisional Course Completion Certificates (PCC) with an undertaking from the Registrar of Maharashtra Animal and Fishery Science University (MAFSU)in lieu of the Provisional Degree Certificate (PDC) for the purpose of admission to the Master's programs for the academic year 2024-2025; and /or c) pass such other or further orders or such directions as this Hon'ble Court may deem fit and Proper in the facts and circumstances of the case and to meet the ends of justice. Perusal of the prayers made in the writ petitioners indicates that the prayers were limited to extending the cut-off date for submissions of Provisional Degree Certificates (PDC) for candidates from Maharashtra This is a digitally signed order. In terms of the prayer the matter was taken up on 24.01.2025, the petitioners were permitted to appear in the MOP-UP round starting on 08.02.2025. The direction was made pursuant to the submission of Dr. S.R. Sharma, Controller of Examination wherein it was stated that if the petitioners have their PDCs, they will be allowed appear in the MOP-UP round and will be allocated seats based on their seniority, eligibility and the availability of the seats. Thus the order dated 24.01.2025 indicates that the petitioners were duly permitted to appear in the MOP-UP round. It is pertinent to mention that by that time the petitioners had even got their Provisional Degree Certificates (PDCs).

7. The seats have been allotted on the basis of seniority, eligibility and the availability of the seats. Even otherwise, the prayers made in the present petitions have already been fulfilled. Thus, since the MOP-UP round has already been completed and all the seats have already been allocated, nothing survives in the present petitions.
