2. The grievance of the writ petitioner is that the application that was filed by them on 20.01.2025 to delete the subject properties from the list of prohibited properties under Section 22-A (1) (C) of the Registration Act, 1908 has not been considered by the respondents. 2 ,-v?
■ It is contended that both the petitioners have purchased the subject property vide separate registered sale deeds in 2006 and 1998 respectively. However, at the instance of the revenue authorities the subject property has been kept under prohibited category under Section 22A (1) (C) of the Registration Act, 1908. Seeking deletion of the subject lands from prohibited category the petitioners have filed an application before the authorities. The same remains pending. Hence, the writ petition.
Having regard to the submissions made, this Court deems it appropriate to dispose of the writ petition, directing the respondent No.2 to pass appropriate orders on the application filed by the petitioners, dated
20.01.2025 within six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of the order. Needless to observe that the petitioners shall be given an opportunity of hearing.
