: Petition under Article 226 of the Constitution of India praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed therewith, the High Court may be pleased to pleased to issue order, writ or direction more particularly one in the nature of Writ of Mandamus declaring the in action of the respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs. 10,00,000/- (Ten Lakhs) to the petitioner as per G.O. RT No. 174 dated 07-12-2017 R/W G.O. MS No. 29 dated. 27-08-2016 despite sanction of funds by the Government under Application ID No. OV2018120088 dated 29- 01-2019 as illegal, arbitrary, violation of Principals of Natural Justice and unconstitutional and consequently respondents to release financial assistance of Rs. 10,00,000/- (Ten Lakhs) to the petitioner forthwith under Application ID No. OV2018120088 dated 29-01-2019 and to pass direct IA NO: 1 OF 2026 Petition under Section 151 CPC praying that in the circumstances stated in the affidavit filed in support of the petition, the High Court may be pleased pleased to direct the respondents to release financial assistance of Rs. 10,00,000/- 3 (Ten lakhs) to the petitioner forthwith under Application ID No. OV2018120088 dated. 29-01- 2019, pending disposal of the present Writ Petition and to pass Counsel for the Petitioner:

O R D E R:
The present Writ Petition is filed questioning the action of Respondents in not releasing financial assistance of Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only), sanctioned to the Petitioner (Application I.D. No.OV2018120088) under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Overseas Scholarship scheme, as illegal and arbitrary.
The Petitioner had applied for financial assistance under ‘Videshi Vidya Deevana’ Overseas Scholarship scheme for the academic year 2018-2019 and the same was allotted with Application I.D. No.OV2018120088. After due verification, Respondent-Authorities sanctioned Rs.10,00,000/- (Rupees Ten Lakhs only) in favour of the Petitioner for pursuing Master of Science (Computing) Course at De Montfort University, Leicester, United Kingdom in two (02) installments. Though, the Petitioner had completed his Master of Science (Computing) Course, the financial assistance as promised to the Petitioner was not disbursed to him. Hence, the present 5 Writ Petition is filed.
Learned Assistant Government Pleader for Social Welfare submits that the application of the Petitioner would be considered and amounts would be sanctioned, if the Petitioner is within the conditions specified, for release of the amounts.
Considering the submissions, this Writ Petition disposed of, with the following directions:- (i) The Respondents are directed to examine the claim of the Petitioner within a period of six (06) weeks from the date of receipt of a copy of this order. (ii) In the event, the claim of the Petitioner is held to be in order, the Respondents are directed to release the amounts to the Petitioner within a further period of eight (08) weeks. (iii) There shall be no order as to costs. 6 As a sequel, the miscellaneous petitions, if any, pending in this Petition shall stand closed.
